The fragrances appeal to modern Americans too. I like Safari while my daughter in college wears Pure Turquoise.
This season the motif at Polo by Ralph Lauren is a Winter Lodge. It’s a modern interpretation on classic winter holiday themes and silhouettes. Look for a black sweater with bold intarsia reindeers in red emblazoned on the front and sleeves. Check out a Southwest patterned sweater in grey, black and red. This mock turtleneck sweater features a toggle closure and a pattern reminiscent of Navajo blankets. It wouldn’t be Ralph Lauren with plaid; this year’s offerings include a red Stewart jacket and a green plaid sweater. Sport coats for day or evening in this collection include black velvet and fine wale corduroy. Classic flannel shirts in coordinating solid colors have the Polo logo embroidered on the left pocket. Twill shirts in checks or plaids will look terrific with the sport coats, tucked into either the button-front chinos or the flat front trousers. To finish off the look there are ties and shoes; to keep warm there are scarves, boots, gloves and a knit hat.
